Gregg Diamond, M.D., FAA PMR

Dr. Diamond is a board certified Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation specialist.
He has focused his practice on treating all forms of musculoskeletal injuries including work-related and sports-related injuries. He is also trained in joint injection procedures and all spinal injections for management of acute and chronic pain syndromes. Dr. Diamond has been trained and performs Spinal Cord Stimulation trials and permanent placement. He is also trained in performing Prolotherapy, a ligament reconstruction procedure. Dr. Diamond is an expert in electrodiagnostic testing for such problems including Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Cervical and Lumbar Radiculopathies, and all forms of peripheral nerve injuries.
Dr. Diamond completed his undergraduate degree at The University of Texas at Austin and completed medical school at the University of Texas at Galveston in 1987. He did his residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Born in Houston, Texas, he has lived and practiced in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area since 1992.
Norberto Vargas, M.D., FAA PMR

Dr. Norberto Vargas completed his undergraduate degree at The University of Puerto Rico and Medical School at Ponce school of medicine. He trained at Baylor University Medical Center of Dallas in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as The American Board of Addiction Medicine.
Dr. Vargas is a partner at Spinal Rehabilitation Associates and he works as the clinic’s Addiction specialist and Physical Medicine and Rehab physician. He is a member of ISIS (International Spine Injection Society), AADEP, and AAPM&R.
Dr. Vargas main areas of interest are addiction medicine to provide prevention, and intervention and treatment in addictions related to alcohol, tobacco, prescription medications, and other drugs. He is certified to treat opioid dependence with the use of Suboxone. He also has trained in the growing field of Prolo Therapy. He performs electrodiagnostic testing, treats both acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, and chronic pain management. He has introduced the use of musculoskeletal guided ultrasound to the practice. The use of ultrasound guidance can improve outcomes for injections and avoids exposure to risk of radiation. He provides a comprehensive approach to treating all his patients.
John Paul Benavides, D.O., M.S., M.P.H., FAA PMR

Dr. Benavides – who is fluent in Spanish – is a board certified physiatrist who practices Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation medicine. He performs joint and soft tissue injections, cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal injections and spinal cord simulation trials to address a multitude of painful conditions. He regularly treats musculoskeletal injuries and performs electrodiagnostic testing. He treats worker’s compensation injuries, as well as motor vehicle accident injuries and acute and chronic pain syndromes in adults. Additionally, he is certified to treat opioid dependence with the use of Suboxone.
Dr. Benavides graduated from St. Mary’s University at San Antonio in 1993 and received a Masters of Science from the UT San Antonio in 1995. He graduated from the UNTHSC Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ft Worth where he earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine as well as a Masters of Public Health in 2001. He graduated from the Parkland Hospital/UT Southwestern PM&R residency in 2005 with the Senior Resident of the Year Award. He completed part of an interventional spine/pain fellowship before joining Spinal Rehab in the fall of 2005.
