Lumbar Epidural Steroid Injection:
If you are suffering from acute or chronic back pain, lumbar epidural steroid injections may be able to relieve your pain in as little as two-to-three sessions. Lumbar epidural steroid injections are the placement of anti-inflammatory medications into the epidural space of the spinal canal for the treatment of painful conditions of the spine, most commonly herniated discs. This procedure is performed using fluoroscopy for the placement of a needle into the epidural space. Lumbar Facet Joint Injection/Radiofrequency Ablation:
Facet joint injections are used to provide diagnostic information and/or therapeutic relief of back pain thought to be related to facet joint conditions. Facet joints are located in between the spine’s vertebrae. Facet joint pain most commonly affects the neck or lower back. This treatment involves placing a needle into the facet joints and injecting steroids, anesthetics or a combination of the two. This is performed using fluoroscopic guidance. Sacroiliac Joint Injection:
The sacroiliac joints sit at the very bottom of the back on either side of the spine. If you are suffering from pain in this area, sacroiliac joint injections can be used to provide diagnostic information and/or therapeutic relief. Carpal Tunnel Injection:
For patients experiencing wrist pain, quite often the cause can be traced to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Carpal Tunnel Syndrom occurs when the wrist’s median nerve is squeezed or pinched. Carpal tunnel injections are the placement of medication into the carpal tunnel – a passageway in the wrist through which nerves and muscles pass – to treat the symptoms of median nerve compression across the wrist.
